You can hyper link any word to a web address and click on the word to open a new browser window with the web address.
In a wiki you can upload the file to your file box and add the file to your page. If it has player code it will also play on your page. If it does not have a player in the file then students can download the file and view it in the windows media player or in iTunes.

Place it on a web space that has the ability to read embeddable widgets.

Flip Camera Videos

You can shoot video using a digital video camera or a Flip Camera and embedded it in your wiki


Downloading Digital Video

You can use a tool like Real player to house digital content. Please be aware that as a teacher you have a limited right called fair use to this video. The current guidelines encourage you to use or show the downloaded video with a given amount of time.

Use of Video Podcast

The Video Podcast that can be found through resources like iTunes carry a different set of licensing agreements. These are meant for you to download, use and store. The only problem is storage space. You will need to be aware of the amount of space the videos take on your hard drive on in your server drive.
